The Maverick County Sheriff’s Department was involved in a bevy of Incidents in the early morning hours of Wednesday Including the arrest of a subject who was then let go supposedly because he has close contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19.
Maverick County Sheriff Department reports state that a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 2008 Cadillac SUV due to vehicle driving on the wrong side of the road.
Upon making contact with the driver, he displayed several signs of intoxication.
A Standardized Field Sobriety test was conducted on the driver in which he performed poorly.
The driver was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.
Upon arriving at the Tom Bowles Detention Center, the male subject was released due to claiming having close contact with a person positive for Covid-19.
The case will remain under investigation.
