Citizens still not taking life-saving restrictions seriously

Law Enforcement Authorities have issued out 29 citations to individuals for not following restrictions set
forth under a declaration of disaster due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Eagle Pass Mayor Luis Sifuentes reported that the infractions have been carried by law enforcement officials working the COVID-19 operation to assure that restrictions are adhered to.

Mayor Sifuentes added that another 165 individuals and businesses have received warnings.

The task force which consists of Eagle Pass Police Department, Maverick County Sheriffs Office, EPISD Police Department, and Pct 3 AB Constables Office have established a data base which will provide information on those who have been cited and received warnings for future references.

Law enforcement officials will continue patrolling and monitoring all areas of the community to assure that all restrictions are being followed.
