Two persons injured after crash with 18-Wheeler

Two individuals were seriously hurt after they crashed into the back end of a commercial vehicle (18 wheeler) on Tuesday, November 12.

The accident occurred at approximately 4:00 pm when a vehicle traveling S. Highway 277 about 5 miles out of Eagle Pass impacted itself into the back end of an 18 wheeler.

The Maverick County Sheriff’s Department and Eagle Pass Fire Department responded to the scene of the accident and assisted two individuals.

Both needed medical assistance and transport due to the severity of their injuries.

One of the individuals was transported to a San Antonio TX hospital for treatment.

The road was closed down for several hours as officers from the Texas Department of Public Safety and Maverick County Sheriff’s Department investigated the accident.

One of the individuals is reported to be 18 years old and in critical condition.
